Morning: After breakfast, you will fly to Nyungwe Forest (approximately a 45-minute flight). Nyungwe Forest National Park protects the largest single tract of montane forest remaining in Africa. It is a remarkably rich center of biodiversity, with 86 mammal species, 280 birds, and about 100 varieties of orchid. It is the most important birding site in Rwanda. After you have settled in, you will transfer to a canopy walk within the forest. Specifically, the canopy walk is good for birders so as to enable those who spot a variety of bird species within the forest.

You will do the famous canopy walk through the forest. En route, look out for birds like the Rwenzori Turaco, black and white casqued hornbill, and also do not miss spots of large troops of colobus monkeys. Overnight in One and Only Nyungwe House on an all-inclusive basis, including all game viewing activities.

Morning:. After breakfast today, you will be transferred back to Kigali, Rwanda, for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon your arrival, our team will meet you at the airport and take you to your Luxury city hotel.  We will provide you with details about the next steps and address any questions you may have regarding your safari, which starts the following day.

Your stay will be on a bed-and-breakfast basis, which is ideal for those arriving in Nairobi in the evening. If you arrive early, you have the option to relax at the hotel or engage in various city activities, such as a Nairobi city tour, visiting the Giraffe Center, the Elephant Orphanage, or the Karen Blixen Museum, before returning to your hotel in the late evening.

Nairobi Wildlife & Giraffe Experience

Morning – Optional Early Nairobi National Park Safari Drive & Elephant Orphanage Visit
Guests who wish to start early can enjoy a private transfer to Nairobi National Park for a gentle morning safari drive. Spot lions, giraffes, rhinos, and zebras at a relaxed pace from a luxury 4x4 with a pop-up roof—perfect for photography.

After the optional drive, proceed to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (Elephant Orphanage). This is a must-visit activity: enjoy a guided tour with short walks and seating while watching baby elephants being fed and learning about ongoing conservation efforts.

Afternoon – Giraffe Centre Encounter
Visit the Giraffe Centre for an unforgettable encounter with Rothschild’s giraffes. Feed, photograph, and learn from expert guides about giraffe conservation. Then proceed to a Nairobi city hotel or restaurant for a gourmet lunch. Options include:

Morning: Our company representative will pick you up from the city accommodation in Nairobi this morning and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Amboseli. On arrival, you will be met by our driver-guide and transferred to your lodge located inside the park with a game drive en route

Afternoon: You'll embark on your first afternoon game drive in the afternoon, exploring the acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife returning at sunset.
Amboseli National Park (392 sq km) is famously known for the breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5,895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp, grazing all day. Other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests (gnus), gazelles, hippos, and many others.

Option 1: You have an option of starting the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're at their most active. Then, you'll return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch. You'll spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in camp, reading your favorite book, writing your journal about the safari, or just listening to your favorite music while observing the birds. Then, you'll head off again at 4:00 pm for another drive through the park. You'll return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Option 2: The second plan is to leave the camp after breakfast, carrying your packed lunch to be enjoyed in the wild. You'll spend the whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli, which are fed by underground water channels. Water is abundant throughout the year and in the pasture. Elephants and various other herbivores are found here. You will retreat to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long exploration of this 392 km².

Morning: After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the 8:30 am flight to Nairobi. On arrival, you will connect to the 9:15 am flight and fly over the rich coffee and tea plantations of the central Kenyan highlands to arrive at Samaburu Airstrip.

Afternoon: On arrival, you will be met by the Camptrek safaris tour driver-guide and be transferred to Sarova Shaba Samburu Game Lodge or (similar ) with a game drive en route in good time for lunch. At 4:00 pm, you will enjoy your first game drive within the park to introduce you to the Samburu special five, namely the Grevy zebras, reticulated giraffes, oryx, gerenuk, and the Somali ostrich. Later, you'll go back to the lodge/camp late in the evening.

You'll depart for an early morning game drive in this reserve, whose breathtaking panorama, flora, and fauna are unique and endemic to Kenya’s Northern hemisphere. The reserve is rich in wildlife with a reputation for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, and many more, and return for your late breakfast.

Then, you'll spend the middle of the day relaxing just like the animals do, read your favorite book, or write your journal, and head out again at 4:00 pm as the day begins to cool. You will spot the Samburu special five before returning to the hotel/lodge/camp late in the evening.

Morning: This morning, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Samburu Airstrip for the 09:15 am flight to Masai Mara, which takes about 60 min. You will be met on arrival by our driver-guide and enjoy a game drive en route to your camp, arriving at the camp in good time for check-in and lunch.

Afternoon: After lunch, you'll embark on your first game drive in this rich wildlife sanctuary, also known as the 'eighth wonder of the animal world', returning to the camp at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

About the Mara: One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. Bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve.

Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred to the Masai Mara airstrip for your scheduled flight to Serengeti. On arrival at Serengeti, you will meet your professional driver-guide who will welcome you and take you to your lodge through the expansive Serengeti National Park, arriving in good time for lunch.

Afternoon – Relaxation & First Game Drive
 During the hottest part of the day, unwind and refresh. Enjoy reading, journaling your safari experiences, or simply observing birds and smaller wildlife from your private deck. After a leisurely Lunch, head out on a first private game drive till late afternoon, exploring new areas of the Serengeti and enjoying the golden light of sunset across the savannah.

Morning – Final Serengeti Game Drive & Scenic Departure

Along the way, enjoy a detour to Olduvai Gorge, where you will visit the museum and learn about the discovery of some of the earliest human remains, adding a rich cultural and historical dimension to your journey. Continue onward to your lodge, arriving in time for a refined lunch.

Morning – Crater Descent & Half-Day Game Drive
This morning, you'll descend into the crater, arriving ahead of most visitors — thanks to the ideal location of your accommodations on the crater’s rim. You'll descend onto the crater floor for the half-day crater tour. There are only 2 roads that connect the crater rim with the crater floor, one for driving down and one for driving up.

The crater is roughly 20 km (12 mi) wide and 600 m (2,000 ft) deep. Once you’ve reached the top of the caldera, it takes about 45 minutes to descend to the crater floor. The floor is home to a rich and highly concentrated wildlife. Some 20,000 mammals of varying sizes live there, including about 20 black rhinos, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see rhinos.

The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles, and as a result, it's easier to watch them from up close where animals roam the lakes, rivers, and hills.

Afternoon – Relaxation at the Lodge
Later, you'll ascend and return to your lodge at the rim, where you can relax and unwind, enjoying the serene surroundings and breathtaking views of the crater.

Morning – Scenic Transfer to Tarangire via Mto wa Mbu Village
After breakfast this morning, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park, with a short break at the famous Mto wa Mbu village.

In Mto wa Mbu, enjoy a guided cultural experience in your private luxury 4×4, with optional short walks through the rice fields, observing the locals as they go about their daily activities. Along the way, you will have the chance to sample local banana beer and interact with the villagers.

You will then continue your journey to Tarangire, arriving in time for lunch.

Afternoon – First Game Drive in Tarangire
After lunch, you will embark on your first game drive to explore this beautiful park, which has the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, following the Serengeti.

Evening – Lodge Dinner & Overnight Stay
You’ll return to the lodge for a gourmet dinner and an overnight stay, relaxing in the peaceful surroundings of Tarangire.

Morning: After an early breakfast, you will drive to Arusha Airport for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar, known as the Spice Island. This beautiful destination is famous for its idyllic beaches, winding cobblestone alleyways, and vibrant bazaars.

Upon your arrival, our company representative will meet you, and you will head to the northern beaches. If you choose, you can make an optional visit to a spice plantation. During this guided tour, you'll learn about the island's renowned spice trade and have the chance to touch, smell, and taste a variety of spices, including cinnamon, vanilla, and ginger. You can also sample some tea made with these spices.

Afternoon: After lunch, you will proceed to the northern beaches, where you can enjoy the stunning white sand, sparkling blue sea, and beautiful skies of the Indian Ocean. You will arrive at the beach resort in plenty of time to begin your relaxing beach stay.

Full Day in Zanzibar: Spend a full day exploring some of the best beaches in the world. One major destination is Nungwi Beach, located at the northwestern tip of the island. This stunning beach features powdery white sand, crystal blue waters, and an abundance of exotic flora and fauna. You can choose to relax under a coconut tree while listening to music or reading a book. Alternatively, take advantage of the variety of activities available, including scuba diving, snorkeling, and many other aquatic adventures.

We recommend booking these activities through Camptrek safaris or directly from your hotel.

2nd Full Day in Zanzibar Island: Enjoy another day of free time at the beach in this beautiful archipelago! There are plenty of water activities available, including snorkeling to see exotic fish, scuba diving, or simply relaxing in a hammock beneath a coconut tree with a good book or music.

Please remember to book all aquatic activities, such as scuba diving, Mnemba dolphins, and snorkeling, directly through Camptrek Safaris or through the hotel.

Mid Morning: You will check out of your hotel this morning and make your way back to Stone Town, arriving around noon. You will be transferred straight to the airport to mark this as the end of your safari.

NB: The easiest option to fly out is Zanzibar Airport. However, if you have arranged to fly out of Dar es Salaam airport, ferries depart Zanzibar at 7:30 am, 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. It is important to allow enough time to return to the mainland to catch your flight departing from Dar es Salaam Airport.
