Masai Mara → Serengeti National Park

Early breakfast followed by departure toward the Isebania border for immigration formalities.

After crossing into Tanzania, continue into the Serengeti.

The landscape gradually transforms into the iconic endless plains that define the Serengeti.

Afternoon game drive en route to your lodge introduces you to vast herds of wildebeest, gazelles, and resident predators.

Please note that the drive from Masai Mara to Serengeti is a true African "massage", featuring rough roads, and can take up to 8–9 hours, including the border crossing and two pit stops. Alternatively, we can arrange a 4-hour flight transfer from the Mara to the Serengeti.

A full day dedicated to exploring the immense Serengeti ecosystem.

Morning drives focus on active predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti for Ngorongoro.

Scenic highland views replace the plains as you ascend toward the crater rim.

Arrive at your lodge with breathtaking views over the crater floor below.

Day 8

Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha

Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari.

The crater hosts one of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and flamingos.

After the game drive, ascend and return to the lodge for Lunch. You will thereafter continue to Arusha, marking the end of your cross-border luxury safari. You will be dropped off at a hotel in arusha or at the airport, marking this as the end of your safari.

 Verified Fantastic trip across Kenya, Tanzania & Zanzibar If you’re looking to do a full safari circuit in East Africa, I can’t recommend Camptrek Safaris enough. We covered a huge amount of ground—Amboseli, the Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater—before flying out to Zanzibar to wind down. Everything behind the scenes was handled by Rose, who was brilliant to work with. She was always quick to respond to questions, kept us updated, and ensured every handoff between regions was seamless. On the road, our guides Eric, Ben, and Jackson were second to none. They were reliable, knew the roads and parks inside out, and made sure we got the absolute most out of every single game drive.  Verified Safari for the heart I knew our safari would be magical, however, I wasn’t prepared for the healing, connection, and restoration it brought to my heart and spirit. We were in a group of 11 traveling through Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. Everything was seamless - from CampTrek’s help prior to leaving with required paperwork, the countless connections, each hotel was a magnificent experience (AMARI MARA WOW WOW WOW!!), the food and coffee are incredible (you will not go hungry!!), the hot air balloon ride is worth every penny, the animals and scenery leave you in awe, and the best part - meeting such bright, generous, loving people. I am filled with gratitude and still trying to process and hold tight to how my life has changed. We also appreciated travelling in a modern, comfortable, and well-maintained safari car. However, what truly makes or breaks a safari is the guide.
