Our driver will pick you up from either the airport or your hotel in Nairobi for a scenic drive to Lake Nakuru, passing through Lake Naivasha. During the journey, we will stop at the breathtaking viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, where you can stretch your legs and capture stunning photos of the landscape, including Mount Longonot and Mount Suswa.
Next, we will continue to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and a walking excursion at the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary. Here, the animals are generally more accustomed to people, allowing you to take memorable selfies with them. The sanctuary is conveniently located next to the lake.
After enjoying the boat ride and exploring the island, we will drive to a nearby hotel for lunch. After lunch, we will head to Lake Nakuru National Park, which is just one hour away from Lake Naivasha. We aim to arrive at the park in time for an afternoon game drive that will last until sunset. After the game drive, we will check into your lodge for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive across the Rift Valley floor to the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you'll embark on your first game drive in the reserve, looking for the "Big Five" and other herbivores that thrive in this stunning savanna. As the sun sets, you'll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
The Masai Mara National Reserve is a premier destination for wildlife enthusiasts in Kenya. It is renowned for its incredible diversity, including big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and impalas. Birdwatchers will also enjoy spotting some of the 500+ bird species recorded in the area. The reserve’s picturesque savannah landscapes, dotted with acacia trees, make it a highlight for many travellers.

Today is dedicated to game viewing across the rich, tree-studded grassland and rolling hills of the iconic Masai Mara savannah. The reserve is famed for its great herds of plains game, including leopards, cheetahs, lions, and other herbivores. It is home to virtually every type of wildlife found in Kenya.
Lunch will be a picnic under a flat-top acacia tree in the savannah, allowing you to watch animals grazing as you enjoy your meal. The game drive continues as you head back to your camp, arriving in the late afternoon after exploring this expansive grassland savannah, which spans 1,500 square kilometres.
As an optional experience, you can book an early morning hot-air balloon ride. After the flight, you will be treated to a bush breakfast in a picturesque setting, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is well worth the cost. Later, meet up with your driver-guide and continue with your full-day game drive.

Don’t worry, the animals will be doing the same. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive through the park. Later, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and another night under the Serengeti’s stars.

You will have an early breakfast at 6:00 am, followed by a final game drive through the Serengeti as you exit the park in the morning. Afterwards, depart for Ngorongoro with picnic lunches in hand. Upon arrival, you will descend onto the crater floor for a half-day tour. There are only a few roads that connect the crater rim to the floor—one for driving down, one for driving up, and another that goes both ways. The crater is about 20 km (12 miles) wide and 600 m (2,000 ft) deep. It is home to a wide and highly concentrated variety of wildlife. Approximately 20,000 mammals of different sizes live there, including about 20 black rhinoceroses, making the crater the best place in Tanzania to see rhinos.
The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles, making it easier to observe them up close as they roam the lakes, rivers, woodlands, and hills. After your time in the crater, you will exit and drive to your lodge at the rim for dinner and your overnight stay.

After breakfast this morning, you will proceed to Tarangire National Park, with a short break at the famous Mto wa Mbu village. In Mto wa Mbu, you can either ride on a tuk-tuk or walk through the rice fields, observing the locals as they go about their daily activities. Along the way, you will have the chance to sample local banana beer and interact with the villagers.
You will then continue your journey to Tarangire, arriving in time for lunch.
After lunch, you will embark on your first game drive to explore this beautiful park, which has the second-highest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, after the Serengeti. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Fantastic trip across Kenya, Tanzania & Zanzibar If you’re looking to do a full safari circuit in East Africa, I can’t recommend Camptrek Safaris enough. We covered a huge amount of ground—Amboseli, the Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater—before flying out to Zanzibar to wind down. Everything behind the scenes was handled by Rose, who was brilliant to work with. She was always quick to respond to questions, kept us updated, and ensured every handoff between regions was seamless. On the road, our guides Eric, Ben, and Jackson were second to none. They were reliable, knew the roads and parks inside out, and made sure we got the absolute most out of every single game drive. Huge thanks to Rose and the guys for making this such a memorable experience!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Safari for the heart I knew our safari would be magical, however, I wasn’t prepared for the healing, connection, and restoration it brought to my heart and spirit. We were in a group of 11 traveling through Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. Everything was seamless - from CampTrek’s help prior to leaving with required paperwork, the countless connections, each hotel was a magnificent experience (AMARI MARA WOW WOW WOW!!), the food and coffee are incredible (you will not go hungry!!), the hot air balloon ride is worth every penny, the animals and scenery leave you in awe, and the best part - meeting such bright, generous, loving people. I am filled with gratitude and still trying to process and hold tight to how my life has changed. A special thanks to John, Ben, Simon, Augustin, and Margaret for making our trip so beautiful - my heart is overflowing. Africa truly is a feeling!!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()

Unforgettable wildlife safari with the best guide Our family of four, including two teenagers, spent 14 unforgettable days on safari with Camp Trek, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the very beginning, everything was organized perfectly. Every transfer, the great accommodations, and activity worked exactly as planned, and the entire trip ran without a single issue. We also appreciated travelling in a modern, comfortable, and well-maintained safari car. However, what truly makes or breaks a safari is the guide. We were incredibly fortunate to have Pili Pili as our guide. He is simply outstanding - champions league! For him, guiding is not just a job—it is clearly his passion. His knowledge of wildlife is exceptional, and he shared fascinating insights about the animals, the landscapes, the culture, and the people of Kenya. We learned so much every single day. On top of that, Pili Pili is an extremely safe and considerate driver. He treats both wildlife and people with great respect, and always made us feel comfortable and secure. We cannot imagine a better guide and would recommend Camp Trek anytime. If you have the chance to request Pili Pili, do it!Posted on Tripadvisor![]()
