Your Route
Your Itinerary
Your safari starts here, and we're so excited to be here with you. You will meet your guide and ask any questions you may have. Then begin the safari you've been waiting for.
You will be picked by our company representative from the airport or your accommodation facility, for a scenic drive to Nanyuki Ol Pejeta and drive North through the fertile highlands of Kenya where a vibrant agricultural economy of tea and coffee is the source of livelihood. You'll arrive in good time for lunch. Thereafter, you'll embark on your first game drive this afternoon to experience this wildlife conservation haven famous for an abundance of black and white rhinos and other herbivores and carnivores that call this place home, returning at sunset.
Ol Pejeta is a wonderful place for black and white rhinos, the Big Five, and over 500 bird species, all with mountain and savannah views. The conservancy protects the earth's last two surviving northern white rhinos, as well as rescued chimpanzees.
Depart for an early morning game drive in this wildlife-rich conservancy in search of the black and white rhinos and other animals that call this place home. The Conservancy is rich in wildlife with fame for the rare northern white rhino species, the Grevy and the common Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, and many more and return for your late breakfast.
Then spend the middle of the day relaxing just like the animals do, Read your favourite book or write your journal, and head out again at (16:00hrs) as the day begins to cool before returning back to the Lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.
Today after an early breakfast, Drive southwards for another scenic drive to Lake Nakuru National Park through the fertile highlands of Kenya where a vibrant agricultural economy of tea and coffee is the source of livelihood. You'll be passing through the equator again to the highlands of Nyahururu arriving at Lake Nakuru in good time for lunch. You'll check in to your lodge and later depart for an afternoon game drive in this gorgeous park returning back at sunset for an overnight stay.
The Lake Nakuru National Park is gorgeous all year round and boasts rocky escarpments, patches of yellow-barked acacia forest, and a waterfall. It is home to flamingos, both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see wildlife. The forested area below the Rhinos cliff is a favourite lion-spotting point where lionesses love to sleep in the trees, and leopards frequent the same area.
Today after breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at the lodge
in good time for lunch. You will embark on your first game drive in the reserve this afternoon in search of the Big Five and other herbivores that roam around in this beautiful savanna. You will return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
One of our favourite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards, and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. Bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.
This is a full day spent game viewing across the rich tree-studded grassland and rolling hills of the famous "Eighth Wonder of the Animal World." The Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game animals like leopards, cheetahs and lions. It also has numerous elephants and virtually every other type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. You will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve.
Your lunch today is picnic lunch in the savannah under a flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals grazing. Continue with the game viewing en route to your camp, arriving late in the evening after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah measuring 1,500 ksq.
You have an option of booking a balloon ride today which takes off early in the morning. After landing, the crew will help you out of the basket and escort you to a lovely setting for a bush breakfast. It is a lifetime experience that is worth the
price. rejoin your guide for a full-day game drive.
After breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley floor from Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Naivasha arriving at the resort in good time for lunch. After lunch, Proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride and walking excursion at the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary.
Boat rides on Lake Naivasha are refreshing experiences that take you on the breezy lake waters as you explore the diverse birdlife and wildlife on the lake and its surroundings. You will have a brief nature walk on the Island, which is a great opportunity to appreciate nature at the Island. Thereafter if time allows, proceed to Hell's Gate National Park for a cycling or walking excursion with animals at this beautiful and scenic park which inspired the Lion King movie( The only national park in Kenya where you ride bicycles with the wild animals. You will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today after an early breakfast, you will depart from Lake Naivasha through the Great Rift Valley viewpoint traversing through Nairobi city to the main highway to Mombasa and a stop at Emali town for a quick health stop. You will proceed to Amboseli arriving in good time for lunch.
You will embark on your first afternoon game drive exploring the acacia woodland, freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife. Amboseli National Park (392sq km) is famously known for the breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5,895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African savannah elephants roam from swamp to swamp, grazing all day. Because of the abundance of water and pasture, the bull elephants here weigh up to 6 tons. Other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests (gnus), gazelles, hippos, and many others.
You will leave the camp after breakfast, carrying your packed lunch to be enjoyed in the wild. You'll spend the whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli which are fed by subterranean water channels. Water is abundant throughout the year and so is the pasture. Elephants and various other herbivores are found here. You will retreat to the lodge late in the afternoon after a long exploration of this 392sq km park.
You also have an option of starting the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're at their most active. Then, you'll return to the lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch.
You'll spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in camp reading your favourite book or writing your journal about the safari or just listening to your favourite music while observing the birds. Then, you'll head off again in the afternoon at 4:00 pm for another drive through the park. You'll return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today after a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Nairobi and proceed to the Carnivore Restaurant for an (optional) lunch/dinner. Later, be dropped off at your hotel in Nairobi or at the airport to mark the end of your safari.
Note- If you have a late departure, we can arrange for a visit to the Giraffe Center, home to a towering crew of the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Or the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage Rescue and Rehab Center for orphaned baby elephants opened to the public for one hour between 11:00 am -12 noon for viewing mud baths and feeding.
