Reviews From Our Clients
EXCELLENT Based on 80 reviews Posted on Indi and Jack GarthTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the best time on safari with Ben! He was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who not only showed us so many amazing animals, but also taught us about them and the places we visited! Couldn’t recommend the team at Camptrek highly enough! We’d love to visit again.Posted on 阿百Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our driver Ben gave us the most amazing holiday! While we were waiting for the wildebeest to cross the river during the Great Migration, he didn’t just have us sit and wait around — instead, he took us to explore nearby areas, like the border and rivers where we could see hippos and crocodiles. It made the whole experience so much more fun and exciting! Ben also shared so much knowledge about the animals — how to tell different types of gazelles apart, and the habits of leopards, cheetahs, and lions. He’s absolutely incredible at spotting wildlife. Many times, he’d point something out, and it would take us a while before we could even see what he was looking at! Every time we made a wish, Ben did everything he could to make it happen — taking us to see big cats hunting, or finding all sorts of adorable baby animals. We can’t recommend Ben enough! We’re already dreaming about coming back soon for another safari adventure with him. Posted on Julianne LilholtTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience booking a 12 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania with Camptrek Safaris. We went to Amboseli National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara National Reserve, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara National Park, and Tarangire National Park. From the start, Margaret was extremely helpful and accommodating in assisting planning and booking the safari beforehand. I had many questions and added or changed a few things in the itinerary, and she answered promptly in detail and easily changed the itinerary when asked. She was friendly the whole time and never made me feel like I was bothering her with questions. She also helped me book a flight for the end of the safari because the airline's website wasn't working for me. I highly recommend working with Margaret to plan your trip! Once I arrived in Nairobi, Margaret was there waiting for me at the airport with a clear sign when I exited customs, which took an immensely long time, yet she was still patiently waiting there! The flight was delayed and customs took probably over an hour, so I was thankful that Margaret was willing to wait so long and late at night for me. The taxi van that took me to the first hotel was very nice, too. I had 2 guides and 2 vehicles - one for Kenya and one for Tanzania. Julius Pilipili was my first guide and I would give him 5 stars! He was very friendly, upbeat, and excellent overall. He had an interest in photography, so he was able to understand angles and light very well and set me up with great positions for shots without me needing to even ask. I don't know if I even asked once for him to move where we stopped the vehicle… He just automatically knew where to stop. He really has a talent for guiding. We saw a ton of animals (big 5 included)! I definitely don't think you'll be disappointed having him guide you. Both guides were knowledgeable about the wildlife giving interesting fun facts and always had answers if I asked. If you are serious about photography, I would highly recommend trying to get Julius to guide the whole trip because that's what I would want next time! I was really impressed with him and liked his energy. The hotels were all very nice and enjoyable. Beautiful rooms with many having good views. I even got upgraded because of a misunderstanding, and I really appreciated that Camptrek Safaris listened to my concern and responded in a way that let me know that they cared about my experience and wanted to make it up to me. It would make me feel comfortable to book again with them in the future knowing that if any other issues were to arise, they would be willing to listen and help. Overall, the whole experience with them was great! I was a little nervous beforehand booking with Camptrek Safaris since they don't have quite as many reviews as some of the other companies I came across, but I was looking to support a smaller business employing locals and they also offered some of the best pricing I inquired about, while also being more responsive than some others. I can assure you after my experience though, they are legit and I think anyone would really enjoy their trip with them!Posted on Eric ThiongoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My safari exceeded my wildest expectations, with timely responses from the camptrek team it was a worth while experiencePosted on Ivan MatsiashTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We booked a private 5-day safari. We communicated with manager Rose via WhatsApp, discussing all the details well in advance. We mentioned we wanted to visit three parks: Maasai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. Ultimately, we were offered the perfect tour covering these parks. All our wishes were taken into account—we communicated at length and ultimately created the tour of our dreams. We were met right at the airport, explained everything in detail, and then we headed straight to the safari. We were also given lovely souvenirs with the company logo upon arrival. The driver-guide deserves special praise—Steven is a true professional. He actively communicated with the other drivers on the radio and drove quickly through the park—we ended up seeing absolutely every animal. Everything was very flexible—we started at 6 am with a boxed breakfast. Steven gave us very engaging stories about all the animals and Kenya in general. On our last day, we were dropped off at the airport four hours before departure. We recommend this company 100% - everything was perfect.Posted on Roxanne PovioTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We could not have been more delighted with our first 10-day wildlife migration safari. For years we dreamed of experiencing such a journey, and when the opportunity arose to travel with nine of our close friends, we knew we had to seize it. Our adventure began and ended in Nairobi this past August, and from the moment we arrived, Camptrek Safaris Limited ensured that every detail was seamlessly taken care of. From accommodations and meals to park fees, game drives, and drivers, everything was perfectly arranged at a very reasonable cost. We arrived at The Boma Hotel in Nairobi late at night, where Lucy, our Camptrek contact, graciously met us and helped with an effortless check-in. The hotel was comfortable and welcoming, and my husband and I even had the chance to enjoy reasonably priced massages during our downtime. The following morning, two nearly new Land Cruisers with pop-up roofs awaited us at the hotel entrance. Equipped with chargers and ice chests, the vehicles were spotless and well maintained, making our travel both comfortable and enjoyable. A highlight of our trip was a dawn hot air balloon ride over the Masai Mara, which concluded with a champagne bush breakfast—an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Equally moving was our cultural tour of a Maasai village led by Helen Nkuraiya, the director and founder who is committed to providing education and opportunity for women and girls. This meaningful visit was a thoughtful and authentic alternative to the typical Maasai village tour. Throughout the journey, our guide Papa John and drivers Benson and PiliPili were outstanding. Their skillful driving, deep knowledge of wildlife, and warm personalities made every game drive extraordinary. We were fortunate to see the Big Five along with countless other species, and each day brought new and thrilling encounters. By the end of our safari, we found ourselves in tears of joy, overwhelmed with gratitude for the experiences, the wildlife, and the friendships that made this trip so special. This was truly the adventure of a lifetime, and we cannot thank Camptrek Safaris enough for making it possible.Posted on Lynda KolbergTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We traveled with a group of 11 friends and Camptrek proved to be so much better than expected. Our unrelenting questions were completely and honestly answered by John or Lucy at all hours. The 10 day safari was customized specifically for us and was truly phenomenal. John and our wonderful, talented drivers, Pili Pili and Benson, went above and beyond to give us the trip of a lifetime. They made sure we saw every animal we came to see and then some, multiple times. We visited three national parks and our accommodations were all top notch. Not one negative comment. Thank you Camptrek! Africa is a feeling!!Posted on Elizabeth ManakTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Camptrek Sarais exceeded expectations. Professional staff kept in contact and answered questions promptly throughout the planning. The safari itself was superb. The guides worked tirelessly to ensure each sighting was as good as possible. Every day was better than the day before. A caring and attentive team and organization. Highly recommend without reservationPosted on Rommel CalderwoodTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I went on the one-day tour to Lake Nakuru National Park and Lake Naivasha with Paul and it was a great choice! It’s an all-day tour so brace yourself and ensure you don’t have a flight that evening. We departed Nairobi at 530am and returned at 6pm. At Lake Nakuru wildlife is abundant - we saw baboons, zebras, vervet monkeys, the Rothschild’s giraffe, warthogs, and even a pair of elusive black rhinos and what the lake is famous for - seabirds including flamingos, pelicans, African fish eagles, storks and more. The park is definitely a must while in Kenya!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
