  • What is included in the price of the tour?

    All transportation, hotel accommodations, transfers, cruise fares (where applicable), Tour Director, luggage handling, local guides, admission to attractions listed in the itinerary, entrance fees, and meals that are specified on the itinerary are included in the prices listed. Room service, personal tips, on-ship gratuities (where applicable), airline baggage fees (where applicable) and meals (other than those specified) are not included in the price of the tour.

  • Can I pay for my VISA To East Africa Region(Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda) with My Credit Card?

    No They only deal in Dollars to get your Documents at the entry point Airport and other Borders

  • What currency is used in Kenya?

    Kenya Shilling, Tanzania Shillings, uganda Shilling, Rwanda Franc but the y accept Dollars & Euros.

  • Are Dollar/Euros Accepted?

    Yes and local Currency of the country

  • Will I be stuck sitting in the back of the van for the whole tour?

    No. We assign seats on the tour van. Your Tour Director will rotate seat assignments every day. This way, we can accommodate friends who would like to sit together and also give everyone a chance to sit throughout the van.

  • How many bags can I bring on the tour?

    We allow each passenger to check one large suitcase on the tour. This bag will be tagged, handled, and accounted for by Camptrek Safaris for the duration of the tour. Smaller carry-on bags may be brought along and stored either under the tour van or above the seats, but those bags will be your responsibility to handle.

  • What if I have to cancel my reservation?

    We realize that illness and personal issues do occasionally arise and make it impossible to continue your travel plans. Unless otherwise noted, we will gladly refund your deposit if the cancellation is made prior to the final payment deadline. If the cancellation occurs after the final payment has been made, a 10% cancellation penalty is assessed in addition to any non-refundable expenses that were incurred for hotels, transportation, attractions, or other suppliers who were already pre-paid for their services.

  • I have trouble walking very far. How can I tell if a tour involves a lot of physical activity?

    To the best of our ability, we rank our tours by the level of activity. Tour pacing and physical requirements vary per itinerary and most tours require travelers to be in good health, involve a certain amount of moving from place to place, navigating to tourist sites and getting on and off various modes of transportation. Each passenger should study the day-to-day itinerary and acknowledge that they are capable of handling the various aspects of each tour.

  • Which are the best seasons or months of the year to travel for safaris?

    For Migration of the wilderbeeste June - September, For any other safari through out the year

  • Are Yellow Fever and Covid Vacinnation Certification required?

    Yes and you need proof of vaccinations

  • Do I carry Cash or Card Only?

    Both are required so ensure adequate liquid cash for ease of transactions where card readers are not available

  • Which type of clothes do I carry for safari?

    Carry both heavy and Light clothes East Africa is in the tropics so expect moderate weather through out the year

  • Are electric scooters, walkers, and wheelchairs allowed on tour?

    Due to the amount of activity that we engage in on most of our tours, we encourage folks to study the tour itinerary carefully, paying special attention to the activity level of the tour. We adhere to the ADA laws and will accommodate anyone to the best of our ability. Due to their size, electric scooters are only allowed on a case-by-case basis.   • Do I need to purchase travel insurance?

    We recommend that you purchase a travel protection plan to help protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected, so you can relax and enjoy your trip..

  • Is smoking allowed?

    Smoking (both tobacco and electronic) is prohibited on the tour van, but you may take advantage of the breaks in the tour to smoke.

  • How is tipping handled?

    Your Tour Director will pay gratuities for luggage handling and any other local guides that may join the tour. Village Drivers and Tour Directors appreciate any gratuity that is extended to them at the end of the tour. Generally, an amount of $5 per day per traveler for the Driver and an additional $5 per day per traveler for the Tour Director is common.
