The Best itinerary- From Nairobi to Amboseli -"home of the African elephants "and Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, To Lake Naivasha which is the highest Lake in the Rift Valley, then proceed to Masai Mara "the jewel of Africa" a unique wildlife conservation haven famous for its spectacular natural diversity of wildlife to lake Nakuru located west- central Kenya and known for hosting some endangered but beautiful species like the Rothschild giraffe, white and black rhinos.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

You will be picked up by our company representative from the airport or your accommodation facility in Nairobi this morning for a scenic drive southeast toward Amboseli National Park. You will arrive at the camp in good time for lunch.

Embark on your first afternoon game drive at 16:00hrs exploring the acacia woodland, Freshwater swamps, scrub brush, and open plains in search of wildlife. A part of the park is composed of a dried-up lake bed, where mirages rise from the shimmering heat. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli National Park (392 sq km) is famously known for the breathtaking panoramic view of Mount Kilimanjaro, The tallest freestanding mountain on earth and the tallest in Africa (5,895m). Amboseli is also an elephant’s paradise where the massive African Savannah Elephants roam from swamp to swamp, grazing all day. Other animals to be spotted here are cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeests (gnus), gazelles, hippos, and many others.

Day 2 : Amboseli - Amboseli

Leave the Camp after an early breakfast carrying picnic lunches to be enjoyed in the wild. Spend a whole day exploring the marshlands and swamps of Amboseli. Fed by subterranean water channels, water is abundant throughout the year and so is the pasture for the elephants among other herbivores found here. Retreat to the hotel at sunset..

You also have an option of Starting the day with an early morning game drive to search for animals when they're at their most active, then return to the Lodge for a relaxed breakfast and lunch. Spend the hottest part of the day relaxing in camp reading your favourite book or writing your journal about the safari or just listening to your favourite music while observing the birds – don't stress, the animals will be doing the same – then head off again in the afternoon at (16:00hrs) for another drive through the park. Return to the lodge for dinner and another night under the Amboseli stars.

Day 3 : Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

Depart Amboseli after an early breakfast and drive towards Naivasha through Nairobi for a scenic drive to Lake Naivasha. You will have a stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley viewpoint to stretch your legs and photograph the contrasting landscapes including Mt. Longonot and Suswa. You will proceed to the Lake Naivasha resort for lunch.

After lunch you will embark in the afternoon for a boat ride and a walking excursion at lake Naivasha game sanctuary. Boat rides on Lake Naivasha are refreshing experiences that take you on the breezy lake waters as you explore the diverse birdlife and wildlife on the lake and its surroundings. You will have a brief nature walk on the sanctuary, which is a great opportunity to appreciate the nature at the sanctuary. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 : Lake Naivasha To Masai Mara National Reserve

Today after breakfast, you will drive through the Rift Valley floor to Masai Mara National Reserve arriving at the lodge in good time for lunch. Embark on your first game drive in the reserve this afternoon in search of the big five and other herbivores that roam around in this beautiful savanna. Return to your lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.

One of our favourite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That's because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights. There's a very good chance you'll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. And bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It's a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.

Day 5 : Masai Mara - Masai Mara

This is a full day spent game viewing across the rich tree studded grassland and rolling hills of the famous "Eighth Wonder of the animal World". The Mara is renowned for its great herds of plains game animals like leopards, Cheetahs & Lions. It also has numerous Elephants and virtually every other type of wildlife to be found in Kenya. You will have a full-day game drive in Masai Mara National Reserve..

Your lunch today is picnic lunch boxes in the savannah under a flat-top acacia tree while watching the animals grazing. Continue with the game viewing on-route to your camp, arriving at your late in the afternoon after thoroughly exploring this massive grassland savannah measuring 1,500sq km.

You have an option of booking a balloon ride today which takes off early in the morning. After landing, the crew helps you out of the basket and escorts you to a lovely setting for a bush breakfast. It is a lifetime experience and worth the price.

Day 6 : Masai Mara To Lake Nakuru National Park

Today after breakfast, drive north through Narok to Njoro road which crosses the beautiful Sceneries of the fertile wheat lands of Mau and the Mau Forest complex. You will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, check in to your lodge and later depart for an afternoon game drive in this park then return back at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru is among Kenya's finest national parks. The Park is gorgeous all year-round park, and boasts of rocky escarpments, patches of yellow-barked acacia forest and a waterfall. It is home to flamingos, both black and white rhinos; lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos and the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The southern end of the lake is the best place to see animals like lions, leopards and rhinos that frequent the same area. Afterward, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Lake Nakuru National Park To Nairobi City

Today after a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred back to Nairobi, proceed to carnivore restaurant for an optional celebratory lunch/dinner and later be dropped at the airport or at your city hotel to mark the end of your safari.

Note- If you have a late departure, we can arrange for a cycling or walking excursion at Hell’s Gate National Park which is located at lake Naivasha. (A 10km detour to Nairobi). Lunch today is at the famous carnivore restaurant

Note- We can also arrange a flight/Train from Nairobi to the Coastal beaches of Kenya Diani /Mombasa if you wish to extend your trip and stay to the beaches when booking this trip.
